Our thanks to everyone who joined us for our 2021 Annual Board Meeting via Zoom, here are some of the highlights:
DOT & Labor Committees: Chapter members joined ODOT for a constructability review on an upcoming challenging bridge project. The meeting was very productive with our members volunteering a ton of information; we hope this translates to more cooperation with ODOT on future projects. We continue to work with the other DOT’s in our region, encouraging conversation and cooperation.
Agreements are currently out for ratification between AGC and Washington Operating Engineers Local 302 and 612 as well as Laborers. The agreement with Local 302 is open for negotiations.
WCC Membership: We welcomed new members Jarrett Foundations and HRC bringing us to 35 contractors and 40 associate members. Congratulations to Hammer & Steel and Liebherr for 15 years of WCC membership; and Dewitt Construction and PJ’s Rebar with 10.
Safety: Continuing our alliance with Oregon OSHA, we are offering two half-day (virtual) safety sessions with Oregon OSHA on June 16th and 17th. The 2017 safety session with Oregon OSHA was a huge success, we anticipate another educational session with Rick Marshall and other WCC members providing presentations.
NCCCO ADSC Drill Rig Operator Certification: Champion Equipment is now site-certified as a host location for NCCCO exams. We need to put Bob Federighi to work! In order to maintain his examiner certification, he needs to administer an exam before July 31st! Please contact beckypatterson@adscwest.org if you are interested in NCCCO Drill Rig Operator Certification.
2021 Board of Directors: Chuck Danache , Jeff Veilleux, and Josh Hilton were reelected to their positions on the Board of Directors, the chapter thanks them for their service and for continuing to serve. President – Chuck Danache (Keller Foundation); Vice President – Tait McCutchan (Malcolm Drilling); Secretary – Matt Jannings (Pacific Foundation); Treasurer – Josh Hilton (Condon-Johnson & Assoc.); Director – George Burrough (Condon-Johnson & Assoc.); Mike Minihan (BAUER Equipment); and Associate Chair – Jeff Veilleux (PJ’s Rebar).
